¿Qué onda? I am a high school Spanish teacher in Savannah, GA, although I am originally from Tampico, Tamaulipas, México. In my eight years of teaching, one of the things I've come to enjoy the most is empowering teachers to stay connected to their passion for WL teaching. I do this through sharing practical engagement & student agency strategies that will place students at the center of the learning experience. I am a music lover and I really believe that music is another powerful bridge to deeply connect with our learners to the target culture.

I’ve been a teacher for 11 years. My approach to presenting and coaching is different because I am still in the classroom. I am a teacher JUST LIKE YOU! I love what I do and I focus on finding the JOY In teaching and facilitating language acquisition through Acquisition Driven Instruction every day. I thrive on empowering and inspiring teachers and my students! One of my student's favorite things to do in class is acquire language and learn about culture through MUSIC!
